Your local newspaper published an advertisement asking people to help with environment projects in your area.
Write a letter to the project manager to offer your help. In your letter:
- Describe a local environmental issue that affects you
- Explain what you would like to do to help
- And suggest how the problem could be avoided in future
Dear Sir,
I am an avid reader of your newspaper. I am writing this letter to inform you that I would be glad to offer help in your innovative project. I am a resident of Vatva area and I am very concerned about the increasing air pollution in my area.
The biggest environmental problem that we are facing at the moment is air pollution. There is heavy traffic on roads. Besides this is also an industrial zone. But there are many residential areas around. Many people in Vatva have now begun to face a lot of serious breathing problems.
I would like to help organising some campaigns and help to create awareness about air pollution, what is causing it and what we can do to control it. I would like to be a part of other environmental projects run by governments that may require volunteers related to reducing effluent from companies and land pollution.
Air, water and land pollution can be reduced if efforts of the government are supported by individual efforts and concerns by maintaining personal vehicles, stopping effluent from factories, not dumping waste on land and so on. The government needs to frame stricter laws and impose penalty on defaulters.
Kind keep me in the list of volunteers and do let me know when I can get an opportunity to render my services in the benefit of the city and it’s people.
