The course director of your previous college has invited you to attend a party for new students, and he has also asked you to give a talk about studying overseas.
a) Write to the director to apologize and explain why you cannot attend the party.
b) Suggest another date when you could give your talk.
c) You have an important examination on the same day so you cannot attend the party.
Respected Sir,
I really miss my college and all the faculties. I am really happy to get an invitation to attend and to speak at the Fresher’s party. I would really love to speak at the party and interact with the new students.
I have a lots to share and the freshers could really benefit a lot. I can tell them about every aspect of stay in a foreign country such as the first day in the college, education system, accommodation, travel and so on. I have travelled so much in Australia that I am well acquainted with the culture and language of the people here.
I must apologize for I won’t be able to make it to the party that day for I my own exams that day and the next three days. But I would really love to come and share my experiences with the Freshers, so would it be possible to arrange a meeting with them after another four days.
It would be my pleasure to speak to the students on this subject. As many of the Freshers are Indians I would be able to understand their needs better and be able to reach out to them.
Please do let me know about the feasibility of arranging another date for a talk. Awaiting your reply.
