4 Letter to the accommodation officer

Shares

You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,

  • Describe the situation
  • Explain your problem and why it is difficult to work
  • Say what kind of accommodation you would prefer

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am doing undergraduation in IT engineering and I stay in the college accommodation. I am staying in room number 210 in the C wing. I am writing this letter to inform you about the problems I face with my room mates.

My room mate is doing masters in English. Hence our subjects are different and we cannot assist each other in studies. I was told that this is a temporary arrangement and that I would be given a room in the B wing after three months. However it has been more than 3 months now.

As her study load is apparently lighter, she devotes less time to studies. Her friends always drop in and chat for hours together. Hence I am unable to study in my own room. My requests to my roommate and her friends go unheard. Rather they tell me to get my room changed. Every weekend they party together. So I have to go and sit in the college library.

I request you to change my block so that I can be with students who are studying engineering. I will be very obliged. I will get company to study. I would really appreciate if it could be done as soon as possible.

Yours Sincerely,

Paula Johnson
